CIVIC COUNCIL OFFICES
Kildare, Ireland, 2000
The main idea is to develop a complex of open, closed and intermediary spaces similar in concept to an ancient forum, tracing the origins of urbanity and republic civic governing. The building is conceived as a civic arc: a timeless container for active participation and services for all citizens. A complex form with a strong topographical character is ultimately generated, which does not express its structural and mechanical elements and acts as an interactive device that is capable of drastically influencing the existing urban context.
