NAUTICAL MUSEUM
Kefalonia Island, Greece, 1996
The basic aim of this proposal was to create a new point of reference for the area. The gesture comprises of three distinct choices. The first is a central axis connecting the entrance to the exit by the view side. The second is the strict and pure geometry of the volumes. The third is the development of the main halls in the level under the road. This allows the continuity of the entrance area to the nearby piazza, both functionally and conceptually, while the museum itself stands at a constant panorama over the sea.
