SUMMER HOUSE IN ANTIPAROS
Antiparos, Cyclades, Greece 2019
The project concerns one summer residence which consists of ten smaller independent ground floor buildings which connect with each other by open and semi open spaces. The buildings develop around a common large yard, using as focal points the sea and a pool which is placed in the center of the yard, in a lower level. The layout of the volumes is designed so that the buildings can lead directly to the yard as well as to more private semi open spaces. The design is based on the principle of the minimum interference with the terrain, the view, privacy and at the same time the desire to create, within the spaces of this complex, the feeling of a small community, a village.
