RENOVATION OF HENKEL HELLAS HEADQUARTERS
Moschato, Athens, 2007
The existing building's structural quality, its distinct aesthetics, its compact program and the existence of a corporative profile, constituted the project's initial context.
During the building's conversion from warehouse to the headquarters of HENKEL and ASK Academy on the ground floor, the aim was to create a new landmark for the constantly transforming urban topography around Peiraios street using light interventions on the shell. As for the interior of the building, the aim was to cover the company's multiple functional requirements adapting a rational designing process that is not depending on expensive materials but uses an open plan logic with light partition walls in order to enhance the sense of transparency and of unified space, updating the building's distinct character.
