REDESIGNING THE AREA OF LATINA
Latina, Italy, 2005
A broad array of ideas have been employed, in order to define a series of interventions of high sophistication, described as 'new agriculture', as a new and yet still archetypical way to combine the diachronical 'agros' with 'culture'. Seven 'vertical' channels, three 'horizontal' bands, an urban outlet as an exodus to the sea and a new circulation network are the main aspects of the intervention. A vital perspective for the area includes the invention of a new territorial image for the entire region. An image that satisfies need at all levels, local, regional, national and international.
