NEW INTERCHANGE TERMINAL IN FUSINA
Venice, Italy, 1998
The primary planning and design gestures are the divisions of the site into land sections and the installation of strip buildings as linear built-up concentrations placed in defined functional zones on the section lines. Strip buildings are composed with the juxtaposition of single elements functional bands, simple transparent shells of versatile plan. The whole scheme provides complete urban service, with all necessary facilities for movement and pause. The overall site plan provides a legible rhythm and a clear development escalation scheme through construction phasing.
