RESIDENCE IN PANORAMA
Thessaloniki, Greece, 1988
A doric clarity describes the main synthetic axis in all levels, defining the volumes and the plans, the outdoor space as well as the choices for the interior. The building evolves to all directions and organizes space through an array of small structures and episodes. Certain qualities and attributes function as points of reference, memory and as regulators of the synthetic procedure: the marble external wall that penetrates the building, the atrium that attracts everyday life around it, the axial development of volumes and the visual penetrability through overlapping axis', as well as the generous employment of timeless materials.
