TWO HOLIDAY HOUSES
Antiparos island, Greece, 1983
Two houses in the form of the Greek alphabet initials "
Ð" and "Ô" were constructed as part of an initial overall planning project for 16 villas. The houses are situated on a sloping site by a deserted beach. Simple traditional methods of construction, the use of stone in its natural form, orientation according to sea views, persistent winds and sharp, austere geometry dictated the intervention and defined the relationship of the built to the natural environment.
